In 2023, The National Archives Trust enabled the creation of the Clore Learning Centre at The National Archives, supported by the Clore Duffield Foundation. This is the first such education space to be housed within an archive and takes a strong digital focus to provide inspiring learning experiences for students across UK.
The Clore Learning Centre comprises:
- Broadcast Studio: a dedicated room for virtual and onsite taught sessions, with the ability to link to multiple schools simultaneously for large scale special events.
- Two Production Studios: spaces for dynamic sessions during which students can gain hands-on experience in filmmaking, creating podcasts and conducting interviews.
- Informal spaces: space for creative, messy play activities, as well as lockers and a dedicated lunchroom for schools.
